We Can Help You Navigate The Changes!
We can help you navigate all the changes in real estate right now.
COVID19
has entered all of our lives without being invited in. We are all dealing with it in the best way we can. You may be wondering if you can still buy or sell a home. You may have a transaction started and are worrying that it will not be able to move forward. The answer is…things may be a bit different for a while and safety has to be a priority, but we can help make it happen!
READ ON TO FIND OUT HOW…
First, let's talk about it.
Normally we would meet with you first at your home, at our office or somewhere neutral.
For now, we can do this via FaceTime, Google Meet, or Zoom. We can explain in detail everything about buying or listing your home the same way we would have in person.
If you are not comfortable with that or if you don't have access to the above mentioned video conferencing platforms, just let us know. We guide you through the process on the phone instead.
We will still keep a paper file as well with all of your documents during the transaction and make copies for you which can be emailed or mailed to you.
Get your
pre-approval.
If you are not already pre-approved to buy a home, the banking industry is deemed essential and they can still do the pre-qualification process and issue us letters online.
If you do not have a lender in mind, we can suggest some for you to contact.
Showings are currently being allowed again.
We are now able to show homes virtually with permission of the owner. However, every precaution should be taken to make sure all involved are practicing social distancing and safety measures to lower any risk. We will discuss any special instructions with you via the listing agent contact. Please understand, the final details are still being sorted and we will continue to take guidance from the State and Local Realtor Association.
Please note: not all sellers will feel comfortable with this at this time.
If the seller doesn't feel comfortable letting people in right now...
We can obtain a video made by the seller for you to view (if they agree) or a virtual tour of the home may be possible. We realize that you, as a buyer may want and need to see the home to make an offer, but ultimately it is the discretion of the seller to let showings happen or not.
If you decide you want to make an offer.
Digital contracts have always been an option and now they are going to come in very handy. We are capable of signing all real estate transactions via email.
If you have never had to digitally sign we can walk you through it, it is easy and secure!
Inspections can still be done.
As a buyer, you can be confident that the inspection will go just fine if you are not present. Assuming the inspector is allowed to work, and the seller allows them into the home, he/she can confer with us via FaceTime, Zoom or Google Meet with any questions or concerns and we will relay those to you. We can also easily include you on the video conference.
Can my closing still take place?
Yes. Closings can still take place and can even take place by mail as buyers and sellers do not have to legally be in attendance together to sign at the closing.
We can arrange it so that the buyers/sellers sign separately to lessen the amount of people present.
We are here for you.
We will keep everyone up to date on any developments, but until then, if you are looking for a home right now it may be a bit different than usual, but it can be done!
Likewise, if you had been thinking of putting your home on the market, you still can! Anything we usually do can be worked around to get the same result, whether it be your home SOLD or your new one FOUND!
